PE/PP compound filled with mineral fillers — Green Plast
Production

Polyethylene or polypropylene filled with calcium carbonate or talc.

  • CaCO₃ · talc
  • Up to 50% filler
  • Higher rigidity

Process overview

Filled polyolefins for higher performance.

We produce polyethylene and polypropylene compounds filled with calcium carbonate or talc, formulated to increase rigidity, thermal resistance and dimensional stability of the finished product. The filler is gravimetrically dosed, uniformly dispersed and validated in the lab.

Recipes can include filler quotas up to 70% by mass, depending on the end-use sector. We have screw profiles suited to anti-shear additivation to preserve the compound's mechanical properties.

How we do it

Six phases for filled compounds.

Disperse the filler uniformly while preserving the polymer's properties.

  1. Formulation validation

Definition of the optimal filler percentage versus the customer spec: pilot trials and mechanical tests.

    Output: Validated recipe
  2. Polymer and filler intake

Goods inwards of PE/PP and mineral fillers (CaCO₃, talc) with documentation qualification and traceability.

  3. High-precision gravimetric dosing

Hundredth-of-a-percent weighing of polymer, filler, additives and masterbatches to ensure compound repeatability.

    Output: Calibrated blend
  4. Optimised twin-screw extrusion

Screw profile and thermal curve calibrated for uniform filler dispersion, avoiding polymer degradation.

  5. Pelletisation

Dimensionally consistent pellets, ready for the customer’s moulding or extrusion lines.

  6. Lab QC and release

Density, MFI, flexural modulus and impact tests. CoA with the actual values measured on the batch.

    Output: Batch CoA

Use cases

Where a filled compound is needed.

Sectors where rigidity, thermal stability and raw-material cost have to be optimised at the same time.

6 sectors served

  • Automotive

Interior parts, bumpers, under-the-hood: PP filled with talc for elastic modulus, dimensional stability and thermal resistance.

  • Construction

Pipes, fittings and technical profiles where mineral filler increases rigidity without compromising outdoor durability.

  • Appliances

Structural and functional parts with high mechanical performance and thermal stability up to working temperatures.

  • Industrial packaging

Crates, pallets and reusable containers where mineral filler increases rigidity and lowers final cost.

  • Furniture

Injection-moulded structural parts with controlled surface and mechanical performance in line with high-modulus virgin.

  • Technical articles

Light industrial components where filler lowers cost and shrinkage while keeping working performance.

ISO 9001 — Quality Management System

ISO 9001 certification is the operational foundation of every production: from raw-material intake to batch release, every step is tracked and documented. It is the minimum standard that the major chemical and petrochemical groups demand of their industrial partners — and the standard Green Plast guarantees, batch after batch.
